Remember Why You Started

Success has a strange side effect: amnesia.

You forget what it was like to start.

To create for the joy of it.

To love the thing itself, not just the rewards it brings.

I was watching a series on Ayrton Senna, the F1 legend.

The night before one of his biggest races, he was feeling the pressure.

Doubt, stress, fear — it all showed up.

So he called his mom. She didn’t give him advice.

She sent him a photo of young Ayrton, driving just for the love of it —before the titles, before the fame.

That photo changed everything.

The next day, he drove from joy, not fear. And he won.

That moment stayed with me.

Because sometimes we all need someone to remind us of why we started.

Not the grown-up version with goals and deadlines.

But the kid who just loved the game.

If you could whisper one thing to your younger self, what would it be?

Keep playing your infinite game,

Coach Sid
